The tragegy of 09/11/2001 left new york city and the international community, as well as innummerous individuals with deep scares and a need of reconsiliation and rememberance, most visibly in the gaping site of ground zero itself.
In the spring of 2003 the
LMDC (Lower Manhattan Development Corporation) announced an international competition for a memorial to be built on the site where the towers of the WTC once stood.
Out of 5201 entries our proposal was chosen as one of 8 final projects to be considered and to be developed further, as widely reported in the international news and media.
