Krakow in Poland has one of the oldest airports in Europe and the orignal site, which has been abandoned following World War II has been converted into an Aviation Museum with indoor and outdoor exhibits.

For the Architectural Biennale in 2004 the Krakow chapter of the Architect's Association invited 8 young design practises to compete on a plan to extend the existing complex towards the north along the existing airstrip.

Our proposal was selected as winning entry by adding two exhibit hangars landscaped into the existing park just south of the new site. A transportation subway hub will be located in between the new buildings.
